Sometimes stories already end when it's just about to start. Life just throws you into situations, but this time I was ever stubborn. I was acquainted with someone new earlier this year, I have told my friends many times how dramatic our first meeting was. It was straight out of a rom-com movie, we met on a plane sitting besides each other. We started talking and later we found out that we were studying in the same University. What a magical coincidence! I cannot even believe I am writing this in my blog.

In this particular phase of my life, I thought I have met someone finally, the setting was also neat. However, things start to change, I started to see how internally broken this individual was. Something that had occurred to him in the past years, something that he holds it dear, he could not let go. The highs and lows of this affair was poles apart. There was a relapse, a pattern that occurred every so often even I could not bear to handle at many points. But I was persistent about it to the point that I bled and bled. It was like I fell in the same pit over and over again. I begged God to help me out of the situation, but my actions did not align. I was still choosing it; despite how much it wrecked me. My prayers changed from begging to 'help me help him heal' to 'remove him because I am too weak to do so', I was holding onto it like a rough rope until it gave me blisters.

The next thing, my prayers got answered at an unexpected time. This temporary affair had got me learning and understand the very common phrase 'Hurt people hurt people'. It came to me like a clear picture, a living example. He thought he could be a little happier when we're together, but instead we always leave ourselves with a heavy heart. It was because, he could not let go, instead he chose to drown in it, and I jumped in this water, full of waves pushing me back and forth until God finally pulled me out of the situation. So, with my short story, it is made clear to me that no matter how much you try to make others happy, if you yourself are not, then ultimately, it will not work. Remember the phrase 'Healed people heal people' and 'Filled cups fill cups'. So, wherever you are right now reader, your personal healing is first important if you want to be a blessing to others, take care of yourself. Fill your own cup before you fill others'. An empty cup has nothing to give but its emptiness.

Writing a blog about peace by a not so peaceful person can be taken a bit by irony; But I’m taking my chance to write to you a topic that so runs my head. I’ve been travelling a lot this past month, i
